A PATTERN 1821 WILLIAM IV HEAVY CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD, dates 1830-1837, with 36 in. slightly curved single-edged pipe-backed steel blade with etched panel of a Crowned WIVR cypher, polished steel guard with scrolling foliage design and shagreen grip bound with twist-wire, blade with some rusting, etching faint, some wear to the grip and rusting to the hilt, no scabbard, 42 in. overall
